The story of Real Estate Consultants, Inc. begins with the story of its founder and broker, Stephanie Linde.
A native Minnesotan, Stephanie moved to Duluth in 1994 with her husband and young family. Looking to continue her Real Estate career, she began working with an established brokerage to learn the local market.
Ever ambitious and entrepreneurial, Stephanie became a licensed broker only a few short years later, opening Real Estate Consultants in the Spring of 1998. It didn’t take her long, however, to find that in order to sell their homes, owners were stuck paying unnecessarily high commission fees, making it expensive for Northlanders to sell their homes.
This became especially true during the crash of 2008 and subsequent years, when many struggled to break even on their home sale, let alone pay a broker.
With this in mind, Stephanie set out to save her clients more by taking a dramatically reduced commission rate as compared to those of her peers, making quality real estate representation accessible to anyone who needed it. Believing that valuable service doesn’t have to come at a premium, Stephanie hoped that such a model, while well intentioned, would also prove to be sustainable.
Twenty years have proven her right.
Stephanie continues to demonstrate that her concept works and prove the status quo wrong by charging her clients less and maintaining the standard co-op payout to her fellow brokers. How does she do it?
Simply by running an efficient, customer-oriented business.
Dozens of Northland families have walked away from the closing table with more cash in hand because of this new take on Real Estate and that’s something to be proud of.
Joining her as the first of her five kids to go into Real Estate, Conner Linde strives to uphold the values and level of service Real Estate Consultants has become known for. Now nearly five years into the practice, Conner has had great success as an agent and has a wide range of experience ranging from first-time homebuyers to high-end listings.
